Reflecting the American public’s concerns about access to necessary medications, Congress and the Trump administration have proposed various policies to curb high drug prices. The Bipartisan Policy Center set out to explore the implications of using pharmaceutical reference pricing – both internal and external – in the United States. Both types of reference pricing are used commonly in other countries to mitigate the high prices of drugs. Please join us as we release a report on our findings and host policymakers and experts to discuss potential policy solutions which address the high costs of drugs in the United States.
