John,
Less than 24 hours after a mass shooter murdered seven women in Atlanta, GA, 172 House Republicans voted to block the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) -- a historic bill that created and expanded the first federal protections against gender-based violence.
VAWA received bipartisan support when it was enacted in 1994, but Republicans have blocked its reauthorization since 2018. Why, John? Because Democrats included new provisions to protect LGBTQ+ and Native American victims of abuse, as well as a gun safety provision that would prohibit domestic abusers from owning a firearm.
Republicans consistently vote against women -- and there's no telling the damage they'll do if they retake the majority next year. That's why we're taking them all on. Here are just some of the 172 anti-women, NRA-funded legislators we're targeting next year:
- Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs
- Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert
- Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz
- Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
- North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn
- Senate Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy
It's past time we remove every lawmaker who actively works to undermine and threaten a group that represents over half of our country's population. But if we're going to take on the gun lobby and the most prominent right-wing Republicans in the House, we're going to need you and every single one of our grassroots supporters with us.

Together, we can make our voices heard and show Republicans that voting against women will never be tolerated.
Thank you so much for being a part of this fight.
