Just last week, we pulled off the unprecedented. New York State passed the first-of-its-kind Excluded Workers Fund—setting aside over $2 Billion in cash assistance for excluded frontline workers. This is an important victory for our immigrant families who have struggled with job loss, reduced hours, and sickness. The Fund is tangible proof of how valuable immigrant workers are to New York’s recovery.

But that funding is only a temporary solution. We need to end immigration detention and deportation and build a permanent path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants who make our communities whole. 

It’s time to take our fight to the streets. Today, in partnership with our coalition members and national partners, we’re launching the March to Victory: Relay Across America. We’ll be marching and rallying across the state to demand that Congress and the Biden Administration take immediate action to protect our immigrant brothers and sisters.
