Friend: In a moment, I'm going to ask you to become an official Defend the Senate Member of our reelection campaign to keep Georgia and the Senate blue. But first, let me explain why your support today is so crucial – and what could happen to the future of our progressive agenda without it.

I'm honored to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate as its first-ever Black senator. I grew up in public housing with 11 brothers and sisters – so believe me when I say I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Not even close. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. 

Now, this kid from Kayton Homes housing projects is fighting in the Senate to make sure our government represents all of us – and that all of our children have a fair shot at the American dream.

Right now, I'm fighting hard to protect voting rights, expand affordable health care and so much more – but I can't win these critical fights for justice without grassroots folks like you by my side. So please, I have to ask:

Democrats pulled out all the stops to win the battle for Senate control – but we can't afford to sit back and relax. With the Senate split 50-50, Republicans need to flip just one seat to take back control for Mitch McConnell – and experts from The Washington Post to NBC News confirm that I'm the GOP's TOP target for defeat.

Our progressive agenda is teetering on a razor's edge in Georgia's Senate race, and I'm going to need the help of this grassroots team to save it. But my last election was one of the most expensive in history – so you can bet the GOP will spend even more to try and buy this seat this time around.

If we want to keep the Senate in Democratic hands, we HAVE to win in Georgia. But to win in Georgia, we need folks like you to power us to victory. That's why I'm personally asking, friend:
