It’s the third week of Earth Month, and over 4,000 people have joined in and contributed to help us raise over $145,000 so far! These funds are critical to protecting our public lands, advancing climate solutions, and ensuring safe and healthy communities for all.
Elisabeth Lusche is a trumpeter with the Nevis Ensemble, Scotland's Street Orchestra. As part of the 2021 Nevis Ensemble Green Challenge, Elisabeth pledged to walk 500 Miles (the Nevis anthem is I'm Gonna Be by The Proclaimers) and raise money for Sierra Club! She’s on mile 338/500 as of today.

Our Earth Month theme really centers around exploring and enjoying the planet, but we want to talk more about protecting the planet. We’re in the midst of a climate crisis and seeing the impacts of a warming planet.
Sierra Club is working hard to do things like retire coal plants, move away from fossil fuels, and transition to clean energy, like solar and wind to slow the impacts of climate change. Earth Month is the perfect time to show your appreciation for the planet, as well as your activism to protect it.
