Ministering to Workers in the Time of COVID

The coronavirus pandemic has struck working families especially hard:
millions of essential workers remain on the job at risk of infection
while millions of others have been displaced from work and are at risk
of poverty and homelessness. 

These are our parishioners and the people we serve in our other
ministries - how much do we know about what they have
experienced during this time? The Catholic Labor Network, supported by
a grant from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, has created
a short 1.5 hour zoom-based program for Catholic Charities USA on
"Ministering to Workers in the Time of COVID."

In the program we take testimony from workers impacted by the pandemic
and explore together its implications for our ministry. Besides the
workers themselves, presenters will include Fr. Ty Hullinger, Pastor
of St Anthony of Padua Church in Baltimore and consultor to the US
Conference of Catholic Bishops' CCHD Subcommittee; Adrian
Flores, Director of the Office of Social Concerns in the Archdiocese
of Los Angeles; and Clayton Sinyai, Executive Director of the Catholic
Labor Network.
