Team,
The 2020 election was no fluke — it was the product of years of organizing, activism, and advocacy from some of the most dedicated grassroots supporters in Nevada that resulted in huge voter turnout.
Our state played a critical role in finally firing Donald Trump. Here at NV Dems, we’ve worked tirelessly to make sure the essential right to vote wasn’t just protected — but expanded. It’s simple: voting is a right and no community should be left behind. Add your name to support our work to protect the right to vote in Nevada →
Unfortunately, though, we’ve seen Republicans around the country, including right here in Nevada, try to roll back our voting rights. Instead of supporting measures to enhance our democracy, like universal voting by mail — which is being fought out in our State Legislature right now — they are doing everything in their power to stonewall our progress.
Their efforts are blatantly undemocratic. Can you add your name by midnight tomorrow if you agree that we should make it as easy as possible for Nevadan voters to make their voices heard? To make an impact, we need 8,675 activists to join this fight.
Nevada was essential in 2020 — and we will be essential in 2022. But if we don’t expand access to voting, not only are we turning a cheek to our democratic principles, but we’re essentially leaving out communities who, for a number of reasons, can’t make it to the polls for in-person voting.
The fact that these people tend to be working class folks, and often communities of color isn’t an accident, either. This is a willful push by Republicans to silence votes that do not often go in their column.
