Yesterday, Senator Elizabeth Warren led her first hearing as Chair of the
Senate Economic Policy Subcommittee. The hearing examined the student loan
crisis which currently burdens tens of millions of Americans with $1.7
trillion of debt.

She concluded the hearing by saying "President Biden can cancel $50,000 of
student debt with the stroke of a pen today. He can start to close the
racial wealth gap and he can relieve the burden on borrowers and on our
economy."

With Warren's leadership, the President may be ready to act soon. He just
ordered a report on his legal authority to cancel student debt. What the
administration needs now is to see public support.

MarketWatch was impressed, running this headline on their story about the
hearing: "'It’s time to go big': Warren makes an aggressive push for
student debt cancellation."

With your signature -- and your personal story if you have student debt --
we will collectively show the White House that the public needs and is
more than ready for bold action on this issue.
