Republican AGs are on the frontlines of destroying our democracy. Help us vote them out.
Democrats can’t take our eye off the ball for a second, friend. That’s what I’ve learned in these first few months without Donald Trump in the White House.
Right now, Republicans are more agitated than ever, charging at us with dark money to burn and nothing to lose (goodbye, decency and dignity). The backlash is already bubbling in plain view – and nobody’s stoking it more than Republican Attorneys General.
While Dem AGs have been seeking justice for all, their counterparts have become “the weapons division of the GOP,” misusing their public offices to advance the Trump agenda even in his defeat.
To recap their lowlights: First, the GOP AGs left their fingerprints all over baseless attacks on an election they couldn’t overturn and a deadly insurrection they’ll never shake the shame of.
Now, they’re undermining the Biden administration’s every move with bogus lawsuits – and it’s our communities paying the price. In March alone, they tried to suppress voting rights protections, block urgent COVID-19 relief, extend the harmful Keystone XL permit, and impede immigration reform.
GOP AGs are using dirty tricks to rack up political points – and they’re playing with people’s lives. Dem AGs are fighting for these policies to help build a more just, more free nation – one where anyone can thrive and where future generations can inherit breathable air.
