This Month in History
On October 27, 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed legislation
establishing Great Basin National Park. The creation of the park was
the culmination of 30 years of steadfast advocacy by NPCA and its
allies to protect the diverse geology and dark skies of this remote
section of Nevada.
