Dear John,

15 minutes.

That’s how long ADF attorney John Bursch will have to make his argument at the U.S. Supreme Court on October 8.

John will be arguing on behalf of Tom Rost and Harris Funeral Homes in the case of R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The outcome of the case will determine two important things:

Can unelected government officials redefine the meaning of “sex” in federal law to include “gender identity”?



Can Americans rely on federal law as it is written?

For the past few months, John and his team have spent much of their time preparing to make the most of those 15 minutes in front of the High Court. ADF is taking advantage of every opportunity to ensure we are equipped to provide the best possible legal defense for Tom — and for your freedom.

If the U.S. Supreme Court rules against Tom, it would give government agencies and unelected officials the power to change the law. And that would have consequences for every American — including you and your family.
