We know the midterms will make or break Democrats' razor-thin majority in the House – political pundits across the board are saying Republicans are well-positioned to take back the House. And they're trying to tip the scales in their favor: The GOP is undertaking voter suppression from Georgia to Arkansas, Texas to Iowa, and yes, here in Florida.

That's why a group of dedicated Florida donors is DOUBLING all donations to help us raise $7,232 by midnight tomorrow. But before I ask you to donate (and have every dollar doubled), let me just remind you of what we're up against:

* Republican legislators in Florida are trying to pass a voter suppression law  similar to the one recently passed in Georgia. Among other things, it would criminalize giving water to voters waiting in line. Water. 


* Those same lawmakers in our state are also trying to put extreme restrictions on mail-in voting, which would impact millions of Floridians who voted by mail in 2020 – most of whom were Democrats. 


* Across the country, these voter suppression laws are designed to keep Black voters and other voters of color from getting to the ballot box. 


Republicans are sinking to new lows – so we have to fight TWICE as hard to win in Florida and defend our House majority. That's why a group of donors is doubling all gifts, and that's exactly why I'm counting on everybody reading this email to make a contribution that will go twice as far:
