Hello --

Yesterday, on my second pandemic birthday, I felt honored to receive a birthday card with so many of your names on it. To all of you who signed the card, I want to say thank you.

It meant a lot to hear from you after more than a year being separated from our friends and family, unable to share a hug or even a handshake.

Despite this last year of sacrifice and loss, I count myself lucky to be able to celebrate another birthday. As more of the people I care about take their vaccines and take care of each other, I'll have the chance to see them again soon. There is light at the end of this long, dark tunnel.

My birthday wish is that we can bring our country to a full recovery as soon as possible so we can celebrate together once again.

I'm honored to have a chance to work toward that recovery in the Senate and to know that you're on my side.
