Friend,

At the height of the Great Depression, FDR launched the Civilian Conservation Corps. Part of the New Deal, the program put (usually white) men to work restoring America's public lands, forests, and parks.

Now, it's time for the 21st-century equivalent: a Civilian Climate Corps that's no less ambitious but far more inclusive and justice-driven than its predecessor.

For the last six months, we've been working on a policy proposal for how the Civilian Climate Corps can take shape—and we officially launched it today. Read about it in HuffPost and share it with your friends and family!

If enacted by Congress, this could be President Biden's FDR moment. A new Civilian Climate Corps is uniquely positioned to jumpstart a revolutionary clean economy, preparing millions for good-paying careers while also strengthening American communities.

A few more details on the policy:

* Our Civilian Climate Corps would put 1.5 million people to work in living-wage jobs building America's clean energy infrastructure.
* It would empower people to serve their communities while gaining the skills they need to succeed in a clean energy economy.
* And, importantly, unlike FDR's corps, our corps centers equity, justice, and gender and racial inclusivity.

This plan is major climate news (the good kind!) and our message—that we must go big and bold to defeat the climate crisis—is reaching thousands of Americans today, through national publications like HuffPost who are spotlighting our work.

With the launch of our Civilian Climate Corps plan, momentum for a Civilian Climate Corps is building. Read about it in HuffPost and share it with your community today!
