I’ve been waiting to send this email for WEEKS, so I’m sorry if I’m a little excited. Anyway, nice to meet you! My name’s Faith, and I’m the Email & SMS Director here at WisDems. You haven’t met me until now, but I’ve been lurking behind the scenes for the last couple of months to gather as much information as possible about the type of content you like to see.
In fact, you may have noticed that our emails have shifted over the last few months or sounded a little bit different than they have in the past. That’s because we’re making a conscious effort to adjust our email program and make some changes. We want to keep getting better and make sure our emails are helpful to you -- and that’s why I’m reaching out to you today.
Today is the official re-launch of the brand new WisDems email program, and I want your opinion about what you want to see. Could you take a quick, 1-minute survey about the things you like, don’t like, and want to see more of in your inbox?
Now, let me take a minute to tell you a little about the values that are guiding our emails as we officially relaunch.

Radical inclusion. We’re all welcome under the WisDems tent, and all of our emails are cognizant of that.

Honesty. I’ve heard from a lot of you that you don’t like the hyperbolic language, upsells, and over-promises you get from a lot of other emails. I hear you! So, we’re going to strip all that away and value clarity and centering our progressive values above all.

Useful. We want to make sure our content is actually helpful to you. Want to see more about Wisconsin-specific elections? Want to be brought in on more opportunities to make a difference? Interested in seeing more news roundups? Let me know by taking the survey! This whole program is for you, so it should benefit you.
As you can tell, I’m pretty excited about this relaunch, and excited to get to know more about what fires you up.
