John,
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy needs to be fired. Now.
Time and time again, DeJoy has made it clear that he’s willing to destroy the US Postal Service. Americans deserve better. Sign now and demand DeJoy's firing.
DeJoy not only slowed down election mail knowing that his ally Donald Trump opposed voting by mail, but he also has financial interests in USPS contractors, from which he may have not fully divested, raising serious conflicts of interest questions. When testifying to Congress, he denied he was behind overtime cuts, but a GOP Senate memo obtained by CREW said that he personally ordered the cuts, further slowing down the mail.
DeJoy’s 10-year plan for the USPS is nothing short of disastrous, and every day he remains at his post, one of our most vital public services remains in jeopardy. Trump is no longer president, but because of DeJoy, the Postal Service is still in serious danger.
Thankfully, there’s a simple way to force DeJoy out: the Senate needs to confirm Joe Biden’s USPS Board of Governors appointments. The Board of Governors is the only body with the power to fire DeJoy and with the addition of Biden’s three nominees, there may be enough members willing to oust him.
DeJoy says he has “no intention” of leaving his post anytime soon. We need to demand the Senate save the Postal Service.
That starts with firing DeJoy.
Between his sketchy divestment agreement with his old logistics company and his willingness to destroy a crucial public service, it’s clear he has to go. Show the Senate and the USPS Board of Governors that Americans are demanding DeJoy’s firing.
Thank you,
The CREW Team
