Nottingham City Council are looking to appoint Children?s Residential Night Care Assistant at Crocus Fields short breaks unit for children and young people with disabilities.
????
Crocus Fields offers care to young people who have severe learning disabilities and physical disabilities, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum and who may exhibit significant challenges in management of their behaviour.

The role requires an ability to: To give essential and personal care to children and young people with autism and learning or physical disabilities. To establish positive relationships with the young people, assessing needs and risk. Working jointly in preparation, implementation, and delivery of care plans. To ensure that the physical, emotional, religious, educational and psychological needs of children and young people are met. To support young people during the night and support them in their bedtime routines. To support young people with their medical and all round health needs. To ensure a high standard of supervision and support is provided to assist children and young people with Autism and learning disabilities.

Applicants must have experience of working with people with disabilities. The potholders primary responsibility, will be to ensure the physical safety and security of the children and young people during the night hours. You will need to respond to the needs of the young people with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities and will be required to undertake domestic tasks and have general oversight of the building security.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in partnership and maintain professional relationships with young people, their families and relevant others.

  • Ability to work a rota covering shifts from 10pm to 7am.
