Dear John,
I invite you to sign up to visit the Land for Maine's Future (LMF) site of your choice during Earth Week! [[link removed]] To date, participants have registered to hike in half of Maine’s counties and we’d like to reach them all!
My wife and I are looking forward to visiting the working waterfront, Pine Point Municipal Pier in Scarborough next week. Working waterfronts play a unique role connecting our land and sea economies in Maine. Yet, l ess than 20 miles of working waterfronts remain on Maine’s vast coastline.
Pine Point Municipal Pier is one of two dozen working waterfront sites protected by LMF. It provides access for dozens of lobster boats and clam skiffs — generating income for more than 50 fishers and their families.
Celebrate Earth Day 2021 by visiting an LMF site during Earth Week, donating to MCV's work protecting Maine's Environment, and advocating for an LMF bond to be placed on the ballot this November. [[link removed]]

This legislative session, lawmakers have the opportunity to boost our economy, protect wildlife habitat, and set aside land for carbon sequestration by sending an LMF bond on to voters in November.
Please join me by hiking, donating, and advocating this Earth Day 2021! [[link removed]] Wherever you are in Maine, there is an LMF site to visit in your county. Let’s celebrate that while asking our legislators to let Mainers vote on safeguarding more land for the good of all!
In advance, Happy Earth Day!
