John, I’m coming to you today to ask for a $3 donation because the success of our movement is personal for me.

I grew up in public housing, raised by a single mother who made minimum wage -- people like me don’t usually end up in Congress.
The connections and powerful corporate donors many of my colleagues rely on weren’t available to me.
And even if they were, I wouldn’t want them.
With our campaign being funded by grassroots supporters like you, I am only beholden to the people of this nation -- which means I get to wholeheartedly focus on this nation.
That’s why this fight is so personal to me, John. NY-15 deserves a representative that has no qualms about pushing for what’s right.
But as our team approaches our mid month deadline, we aren’t on track to hit our $20,000 goal by the end of April.
I know you know how important these goals are, John. If we fail to hit even one, it could set us back months in terms of reaching voters
So please: Before midnight tonight, will you give $3 or whatever you can afford to help me stay in Congress?
