Friends —
California has announced that every resident age 16 and up will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination on April 15th. Californians over 50 are eligible now.
This is great news — vaccine access has been steadily increasing, and state and local officials have been working hard to efficiently distribute vaccines to all Californians, especially those in our hardest-hit communities.
Now, it’s important we all get vaccinated — it’s safe, free, and effective. The sooner we can get everyone vaccinated, the sooner we can return to enjoying concerts, movie theaters, places of worship, restaurants, and more without restrictions. If you haven’t been vaccinated already, visit myturn.ca.gov to pre-register and make an appointment when you become eligible:
Even as more Californians get vaccinated, we must remain vigilant in taking precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19. Continue wearing a mask and practicing social distancing to protect yourself and your community. We are on the road to beating this pandemic, but we must continue to keep our friends, family, and neighbors safe and healthy.
