Hi there,

It's frightening what Republicans have been able to accomplish since 2016. We all laughed when Donald Trump decided to run for office. People thought that he could never be president because he degraded women, attacked immigrants as "rapists," and mocked disabled Americans.

We were wrong. And in four short years, Trump drove our democracy and our country to the brink. Our neighbors were radicalized, our families divided, and millions of Americans brought their racism and xenophobia out into the light of day.

That is what we tried to defeat in 2020 -- and we succeeded, for the most part.

But Republicans successfully used that hateful agenda to shrink our House majority and secure their hold on state legislatures. Now Republicans have a new trick up their sleeve -- a dangerous lie about our elections that they're using to justify a nationwide voter suppression campaign.

And just like in 2016, we aren't paying enough attention, and we aren't taking this threat to our country seriously, that much is clear. That's why Republicans keep winning.

Right now, Republicans are on track to take back the Senate and the House next year. That means:
+ Kevin McCarthy -- the man who did nothing after Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Matt Gaetz were exposed for having direct links to insurrectionists -- will be Speaker of the House for the remainder of Biden's term.
+ Mitch McConnell -- who voted to throw out Donald Trump's entire impeachment trial when our country needed a show of accountability the most -- will be Senate Majority Leader for the remainder of Biden's term.
+ Republicans will be able to use their power in Congress to destroy our democracy and take back the White House through any means in 2024.


You know that can't be our future -- and it doesn't have to be. We have a powerful coalition of allies and organizers. We have progressive candidates already stepping up to challenge right-wing Republicans in states like Arizona and Georgia. We have you and millions of grassroots Democrats nationwide who want a progressive future.

The only thing we're missing is the resources to protect our majorities. Because money talks in politics, and Republicans are raking in millions every day by capitalizing on Trump's legacy.
