With Trump in the White House, we're fighting to preserve our democratic norms every single day. We're fighting for our rule of law, our democracy, our values. Every morning there's a new headline, a new battle. It's hard not to get tired -- trust me, I know.

The good news is that while the administration is worse than ever, the Congress has been changed dramatically for the better by the midterms. Not only are Democrats in the majority in the House, but we also have the most diverse congress ever, and new energy is driving our politics, with more young people getting involved, and with new issues being brought to the forefront.

We have a real opportunity to make a difference right now and I know none of this would be possible without you. We're fighting to make progress on matters that impact people every day, like universal healthcare, commonsense gun reform, and protecting our environment - not to mention holding this president and his administration accountable every single day.

With your help, we took the first step by taking back the House in November -- thank you -- but now the most important work begins, in Congress and as we prepare for the next general election. And I want to know where you think I should focus my efforts over the next several months.
