John —
Every day, Americans wake up to news of more gun violence. Even with our country on lockdown, 2020 had the highest gun violence numbers in decades, and even in the new year, these tragedies aren’t slowing down. From hateful attacks against the AAPI community to rampages in grocery stores, we’re at a breaking point.
Now, after yesterday’s shooting at a Knoxville high school, I’m calling on my colleagues in Congress to act — it’s time to say that enough is enough. With critical gun reform legislation waiting for a vote in the Senate, we need to work together to get it done.
Sign my petition to demand the Senate pass common sense gun reform legislation that will save thousands of lives. We can’t wait any longer →
I’ve spent years advocating for common-sense gun reform, and we’re so close to closing loopholes and building a safer society. My bill criminalizes gun trafficking and creates harsher penalties for straw purchasers, the folks buying guns on behalf of criminals.
This bill will take us far, but only if it actually gets passed — and John, that's a big if.
Join me in demanding that the Senate pass my vital gun reform bills and help put an end to these preventable tragedies. Our country cannot wait any longer:

For a country that prides itself on being the best, we can undeniably do better. Let’s get it done.
