On Tuesday, CLASP hosted a roundtable discussion about the American Rescue Plan’s historic investment in the child care sector and what it means for the future of our country’s child care system. The event, which was moderated by Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell, featured opening remarks by Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL) followed by a panel including Illinois Human Services Secretary Grace Hou, Parent Voices’ Mary Ignatius, and CLASP’s Olivia Golden.
We had hundreds of participants and a rich conversation about what child care needs to get past the pandemic and become the foundational support that parents and families need. Check out the archive!
