CLCV Member,

It’s time to phase out fossil fuel development on public lands and waters.

The world’s already-producing oil and gas fields, if fully developed, would push warming past dangerous climate limits. Our climate can’t afford any new fossil fuel development. The natural place for that to begin is on public lands and waters.

In January the Biden administration took critical first steps by pausing oil and gas leasing pending a long-overdue climate review of the federal fossil fuel programs.

Now we need your help to ensure that the programs face a rigorous environmental review.

Done properly, that review will show there’s no room for climate pollution from new leasing or drilling on public lands and waters. This is a critical opportunity for our collective climate future.

For the sake of our communities and our future, we must act now.  Please take action today.

Thank you for being an environmental voter.

We believe that radical change is necessary and only by transforming our political system will we create the opportunity to take bold action on climate change. We elect and cultivate environmental champions, turn election victories into policy wins, hold our lawmakers accountable, and build political power for change. We inspire hope and action and fight for equity and justice for all Californians. We are in the business of changing what’s possible.
