The process of removing all U.S. troops from Afghanistan has eluded every administration – Democrat and Republican — since the war began 20 years ago. But thanks to the leadership of President Biden, it will soon become a reality.
Because the Biden Administration just announced they are withdrawing all U.S. troops from Afghanistan before September 11th, the date of the attacks which first drew our country into our longest war.
VoteVets thanks President Biden for his bold and necessary action. Will you join us? Add your name to show President Biden you agree with his decision and thank him for keeping his promise to remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan. [[link removed]]
President Biden is removing troops in a way that is consistent with the security of our country, our troops, and the Afghan people. Rather than abruptly remove all troops in a precipitous manner, he is giving the time and space for our forces to leave Afghanistan in a safe way, and in a way that will allow our political and diplomatic efforts to continue. This is key, as any chance at enduring stability in Afghanistan will require a negotiated settlement between all parties.
September 11, 2001 was a horror for us as a nation, and for the thousands of families who lost loved ones. It is a horror that hasn’t ended, over two decades, as it has resulted in thousands of military families seeing their loved ones lost. It means something, then, that the last US servicemember will leave Afghanistan on September 11, 2021. President Biden deserves nothing but praise for that.
So add your name to thank President Biden for his actions today. [[link removed]]
