Witnessing President Biden's Failure to Control the Border Crisis
Last week, I visited the U.S.-Mexico border to observe the grim humanitarian, health, and national security crisis President Biden has created. Thousands of migrants have entered the United States illegally due to Biden’s failed immigration policies and refusal to reinstate President Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ program, which tremendously helped secure the southern border.
This is a crisis that was created by Joe Biden's actions, and he can reverse it tomorrow. This isn’t some law that Congress passed. This is something Joe Biden did the day he became President. He was telegraphing it before he took the oath of office, but now you can see the result of it.
President Biden knows this is going on. He can stop it right now. I urge him to go down to the border, witness this crisis firsthand, and then undo his failed policies which have created this crisis at America’s southern border. Visiting with Tangipahoa Parish Officials
Recently, I met with Tangipahoa community and business leaders for lunch. We talked about the need to fully reopen our economy and help Louisiana’s small businesses and restaurants return to normal after the pandemic. As always, I enjoyed having some delicious thin fried catfish!
Touring J&M Industries
I had the pleasure of touring the J&M Industries facility and plant in Ponchatoula to discuss its successful use of the Paycheck Protection Program during the COVID-19 pandemic with owner Maurice Gaudet. It was great to learn about J&M’s history producing tarps and covers for various industries, including the construction, petrochemical, horticultural, and landscape industries.
