There are many ways for you to engage with RiseOut this month, from preparing for primary elections in NYC this summer, to joining the movement for housing justice, to advocating for the Equality Act. Check out all the events and action opportunities below!

	Get Ready for Ranked Choice Voting Thursday, April 15, 6 p.m. ET This year, New York City will implement a ranked-choice voting procedure for the first time in the city’s history. Join us at our next RiseOut Action Team meeting, where you can get trained on ranked-choice voting and learn how to encourage your community to make informed votes this election season.
	Help to Secure Housing Justice for All Thursday, April 22, 1 p.m. ET The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the New York State housing crisis, and many people are struggling to access safe and reliable housing. Join us for a special conversation with the Housing Justice for All Coalition, to learn about what housing resources exist for LGBTQ New Yorkers who are facing hardship and what you can do to get involved in the movement.
	It’s #EqualityTime Full federal nondiscrimination protections like the ones outlined in the Equality Act would ensure that everyone can live, work, and access public spaces free from discrimination. We need you to call today and show support for senators who stand for equality—and tell those who don’t that it’s time to join the 72% of Americans who do. Our partners have pre-written a letter to send to your senators, and you can even customize it if you want to. Then when you're ready, their system will call and connect you to your senators.
