When female employees at energy company Con Edison faced constant sexual
harassment from their male co-workers, they felt powerless to defend
themselves within the company – that is until a young lawyer named Kristen
Clarke came to their aid.

Now President Biden’s nominee for Assistant Attorney General for the Civil
Rights Division, Kristen Clarke was then serving as the chief of the Civil
Rights Bureau at the New York Attorney General’s office, where she helped
the workers of ConEd receive the justice they deserved.

One of the employees involved in the case, Susan Kartell, says in a new
