John, Republicans in Congress are at it again.
Last week, over 100 national security professionals signed a letter asking Congress to form a bipartisan investigative committee into the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Democrats in the House are all in favor of an investigative committee to dive into the source of the violence at the Capitol, but House Republicans are once again standing in the way of the investigation -- likely because many of them defended the white supremacists in question.
We knew that several members of the Republican caucus were sympathetic to the rioters and their white supremacist motives, but now they're standing in the way of an investigation that will actively combat radical far-right militias.
John, it's unacceptable that white supremacists have any influence over our Congress. Here at ASPIRE, we're working hard to replace folks like that with strong, diverse candidates -- and clearly, our work has never been more important.
However pro-insurrection Republicans are raising huge amounts of money while we fall behind -- Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of the fiercest proponents of the January 6 attack, just raised a record $3.2 million in the aftermath of the insurrection.
