“Nothing that we do that is worthwhile is done alone.”
Author, organizer, and educator Mariame Kaba has something critical there. Being in community with one another is a huge part of what makes meaning in many of our lives and how we build power for change.
And I think especially over the past year, we’ve seen just how crucial it is to our individual and our collective wellbeing.
That’s why our team is so excited about our community endorsers program — where we’re building a community to fight for the just recovery our city so desperately needs. Will you join us as a community endorser today?
Organizing during a pandemic is easier said than done. We’ve taken most of our organizing online, hosting neighborhood townhalls, friendbanks, and phonebanks virtually to connect with New Yorkers.
But no matter how many calls we make or ads we run, we know the most effective messengers for our campaign are you. Will you sign on as a community endorser to show your support for our campaign?
Securing a just recovery for our city isn’t a one-person job: it’s going to take all of us, and I’m so honored to have you with us in this fight.
In community,
Brad
