Stacey Abrams hasn't even announced her candidacy for governor of Georgia, but Republicans are so scared of her that they've already created a “Stop Stacey” coalition for 2022.

The group smears Abrams as a “leader of the Radical Left, founder of shady voter registration network, and Champion of Socialist, anti-American Agenda” -- right before telling Americans to “Stop Stacey and Save America.”

Here's the truth: Progressive organizers have finally overcome the GOP's years of voter suppression, and Republicans are furious that a Black woman has managed to build a grassroots movement to undo how they've stacked the deck. Black and Brown women are consistently torn down by Republicans when they decide to run -- these “Stop Stacey” efforts are a prime example.

That's why we launched our Elect Bold Women Fund -- and why we're making sure that every ambitious progressive woman who is fighting for change has the resources they need to take on the GOP's dark money and corporate friends.

We want to support Stacey Abrams when she decides to run for governor. We want to make sure women leaders like her who step up to challenge powerful right-wing Republicans in states like Georgia, Arizona, and Texas will have our full support against inevitable GOP attacks and voter suppression.

But we're going after the GOP in their strongholds, John. Georgia Republicans are already building their “Stop Stacey” campaign so early in the cycle to deter Abrams from running.
