Ramadan Mubarak! Wishing all those who celebrate a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable Ramadan.
Sadly, we are taking another moment to recognize recent instances of police brutality and gun violence across our nation in Virginia Beach, VA, Takoma Park, MD, Brooklyn Center, MN, and Knoxville, TN. We must not let ourselves become numb to these tragedies and must continue to fight for institutional change. We encourage you to stay informed, spread awareness, donate if you can, and call your representatives.
In addition, The Virginia Young Democrats Convention registration deadline has been extended, so don’t forget to register by April 14th.

Join AYD for our Earth Day Trivia Night! Our Housing, Environment, & Infrastructure Caucus Chair Nicole Merlene will be hosting this virtual event full of facts about the environment from the local to the worldwide level! No need to form teams beforehand, we will assign folks upon arrival so everyone feels welcome.
There will be four rounds of trivia with five questions in each round. After every round, you will be put in a breakout room with your assigned team to deliberate and submit questions before coming back to the main room. Prizes to be announced! Feel free to hang around and chat after trivia to get to know your fellow Young Dems as well.

Join us for our Green New Deal Forum on Tuesday, April 27th at 7 pm via Zoom! Before the forum, we will be hearing from Virginia primary candidates Lee Carter (Governor), Mark Levine (Lt. Governor), and Andria McClellan (Lt. Governor). Our speakers for the GND Forum will be Lee Williams, Green Deal Co-Chair, Joshua Cole, Delegate of VA District 28, and Matt Royer, AYD President, Virginia Justice Dems Co-Chair, and Green New Deal Labor Lead. Register through Vaccinate Virginia
All adults in Virginia will be eligible for vaccination after April 18th! If you have not yet registered, you should do so through Vaccinate Virginia, the new Virginia Department of Health system for registration. If you registered using the Arlington County system before February 13th, do not complete a new registration in the VDH system. Your information is being migrated into the state system, and your status will not be affected.
