In 10 short days, Louisiana voters will head to the polls and cast their ballots for governor. Per state law, I need to secure over 50% of the vote on Oct. 12 or our race will move to a runoff election on Nov. 16. With your help, we can invest the resources it takes to win outright in just 10 days' time – and let me tell you why that's so important.

As the only Democratic governor in the Deep South, I am a top target for the GOP simply because of party affiliation. If we don't win with 50% on Oct. 12, the Republicans will be able to consolidate their support behind a single candidate. They'll throw everything they've got at us, and then some.

That's why we've set an urgent goal of getting 75 Louisiana Victory Members before midnight, but we're currently falling short of what we need to fight through these next 10 days. Can I count on you to step up?
