ANNOUNCEMENTS

Pass the PRO Act Town Hall

Thursday, April 15 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

To RSVP for this event, click here.

Join fellow socialist organizers and labor leaders for a virtual town hall about passing the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO Act), DSA’s national campaign to pass the most robust national labor policy in generations.

Speeches and talks from union leaders and rank and file workplace agitators will be followed by breakouts and discussion about how the PRO Act can benefit your working conditions, and how you can help pass this critical piece of labor legislation.

With the labor rights granted under the PRO Act, our movement can commit to building the working class power needed to win important reforms such as the Green New Deal. Workers AND the world, unite!

One-on-One Organizing Conversation Training

Tuesday, April 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Political Education committee invites chapter leaders and neighborhood organizers for a training in the art of the one-on-one organizing conversation.

If you’re unfamiliar, the one-on-one conversation is the quintessential tool of the organizer and if you’re in DSA Los Angeles, you should understand how to engage in strategic and effective one-on-one conversations to move people to action.

In this first session, we’ll go over the basics of a successful one-on-one organizing conversation. Attendees will then be asked to put their skills to use during the course of their work as organizers in the Neighborhood Solidarity Network.

If you’re an organizer in DSA Los Angeles, this is an essential skill that takes practice, so we invite you to join us for this important training!
