Become a grassroots co-sponsor of the Anti-Racism in Public Health Act and declare that systemic racism is a public health crisis.
Systemic racism is a public health crisis. That’s why Ayanna — in partnership with Representative Barbara Lee and Senator Elizabeth Warren — introduced the Anti-Racism in Public Health Act of 2021, to take a public health approach to addressing the structural racism impacting Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities.
COVID-19 has laid bare — and exacerbated — deeply rooted racial disparities in health outcomes, and it’s past time that we address systemic racism and police brutality as the public health crises they are.

This legislation is the first of its kind. It would expand federal research into the public health impacts of structural racism, require our government to develop anti-racist health policies, and take a public health approach to combat police brutality and violence.
Systemic racism is a public health emergency — and it requires a response that meets the scope of this crisis. We must pass bold legislation to confront and dismantle the racist systems and practices that lead to disparate outcomes, and to advance equity in our public health system, as we continue to rebuild and recover.
Add your name to join Ayanna, Barbara, and Elizabeth in the fight to end racial disparities and inequities once and for all.
Thank you for taking action,
A-Team
