A week ago, we launched this campaign to lift up the voices of all Pennsylvanians — thank you so much for joining us, John.

We are at a critical moment for Pennsylvania and our country, from continuing to recover from a global pandemic that’s cost hundreds of thousands of lives and hurt our economy, to national debates on critical issues like how we confront systemic racism in our communities and institutions, as well as how we tackle the escalating climate crisis.

And there are still sadly those here in Pennsylvania who cheer the bickering, discord, and damage of the Trump Era — and continue pushing suppressive voting laws to undermine our democracy.

But after 23 years of practicing medicine, I’ve learned that we have to be honest with ourselves and our patients about the challenges we’re facing — even when it isn’t what we want to hear — and take action to tackle those problems head-on together. That’s why I’m running for U.S. Senate.

Now is the time to look forward and take what we’ve learned from these difficult times to build a better future.
