The rights of transgender folks across the country are under attack, team. In recent months state legislatures have gone into a frenzy of writing anti-trans bills that would endanger, marginalize, and threaten the rights of trans Americans.
From preventing transgender youth from playing sports to blocking them from receiving gender-affirming medical care -- the outright discriminatory legislation that has been proposed in some states, and recently passed in Arkansas, is a violation of fundamental rights. Full stop.
Listen, the continued push for anti-trans bills is un-American -- we need the Senate to pass the Equality Act to ensure transgender Americans have equal protection under the law. Will you add your name to show support for the Equality Act and urge the Senate to take up this critical legislation for a vote?

These new bills are only adding to the problem. In many states transgender Americans don't have basic legal protections from discrimination. They can be denied educational opportunities, lose their home, and be fired for who they are.
It's time for the Senate to take action on the Equality Act and give transgender Americans the protections they deserve once and for all.
We need to show our transgender friends and neighbors that we're standing with them -- and that means taking meaningful action to codify protections into federal law. Chris was proud to join his colleagues in passing the Equality Act to ensure protection for all LGBTQ Americans, but the Senate needs to take up this bill for a vote now.
