Former Trump Senior Staffers Endorse Susan Wright for Congress

Arlington, TX – Susan Wright, Republican candidate for Congress, today announced the endorsements of Matt Buckham and Roger Severino, former senior staffers in the Trump Administration.

Matt Buckham, former Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel (2019-2021), released the following statement:
"It will be great to have a conservative who will truly fight for the citizens of Texas. People from DC are full of hot air, but no action. I endorse Susan Wright for Congress so she can bring fresh energy to save the unborn, protect our freedoms, establish sound immigration policies that will preserve our country for generations, and fight for Americans first."

Roger Severino, former HHS Director of the Office for Civil Rights (2017-2021), released the following statement:
"I fought and won for life and religious liberty at President Trump’s HHS and know a fellow fighter when I see one. Susan Wright will be a champion for unborn children, families, and religious liberty in Congress and I am happy to endorse her winning candidacy."

BACKGROUND:
Politico, 4/12/2021: "Brian Harrison, a chief of staff to former Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, has angered a swath of Trump White House and HHS political appointees with his 'America First'-style campaign in the special election for a Dallas-area House seat, prompting complaints that he’s inflating his record and trying to co-opt Trump’s brand."
Susan Wright is the widow of the late-Congressman Ron Wright and a Republican candidate for the May 1st special election in Texas' 6th Congressional District. To learn more about Susan and her campaign for Congress, please visit www.SusanWrightForCongress.com.
