As we kick off the second quarter of 2021 and begin the countdown to the 2022 midterm elections, we wanted to give you an important update about the current political landscape.

Challenges ahead:

-First and foremost, the party controlling the White House tends to lose congressional seats in the midterm elections.
-The 2020 Census means new congressional districts, which will give Republicans a chance to slice and dice districts in a way that is favorable to them. In fact, experts have already warned of several states that are at risk for partisan gerrymandering.
-Hundreds of outrageous voter suppression bills are currently moving their way through Republican-led state legislatures across the country.

John, it’s time to begin the work to make sure we don’t give up our hard-won majorities in 2022. Republicans met at Mar-a-Lago this weekend to strategize and raise millions of dollars to fund their comeback – it’s a reminder of the work we have to do to protect what we’ve fought so hard for.
