On March 11, just days before the eleventh anniversary of the Affordable
Care Act (ACA), President Joe Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act
(ARPA), which significantly impacts the landmark health law that he
helped pass during his vice presidency.

"The legislation temporarily expands the Affordable Care Act's
premium tax credits and increases federal financial incentives for
states that have not yet done so to expand their Medicaid programs to
low-income adults," writes Katie Keith in her new article as part of
our "Eye On Health Reform" series
.

Keith explains the ways ARPA builds on the ACA, enrollment trends in
states that use HealthCare.gov , current ACA
litigation, and ACA guidance from the Biden administration.
