Republican lawmakers ready to change Ohio voting rules

A news story broke late Friday that sent chills down our spine -- Republicans are negotiating away your right to vote behind closed doors.

Republican legislators have been working in secret, and apparently they're getting ready to introduce legislation that is a direct attack on our right to vote. We don't know all the specifics in the bill, but we do know they're looking at cutting back early voting days and slashing the use of secure ballot drop boxes. Who knows what other plans they have to suppress your vote.

We're getting ready to fight this every step of the way, including in court if necessary. Today we're launching the Ohio Voting Rights Legal Fund to defend every Ohioans' right to vote. The money we raise off this email will go directly toward fighting voter suppression every step of the way.
