I have some exciting news to share with you: as of today, one-third of ALL Kansans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine!

In recent weeks, we've been able to double the number of vaccinations given in our state helping us get to this number. I want to take a moment to thank our healthcare providers who have been working diligently to get as many Kansans vaccinated as soon as possible.

These new vaccine numbers, along with our unemployment rate -- the fifth-lowest in the country -- show that we are well on our way to getting back to normal.

If you have not gotten a chance to receive your vaccine yet, remember all Kansans 16 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Together, we will beat this virus, but only if we all do our part.

I strongly encourage every eligible Kansan to sign up for their vaccine using our Vaccine Finder tool, continue practicing physical distancing protocols, and continue wearing a mask in public.
