John,
Whew. It's been one hell of a year. Through it all we've provided virtual training, launched digital actions, and supported young organizers in their campaigns for change. We're so inspired by their progress and their victories. If you or someone you know wants to be in our cohort of youth organizers, now is the time.
Applications are open to join our youth organizing programs for the 2021-2022 school year here.
Accepted applicants will be part of a group of 130 youth activists aged 14-24 who receive training, support, and stipends to organize for reproductive justice in their community! Those accepted will receive in-depth training at our virtual Youth Activist Institute in September, and then begin a life-changing experience networking with youth activists and building organizing skills.
Gain year-round support for your activism, and build your power as an organizer by applying here.
We now have ten (count 'em, TEN!) core programs you can choose from. Plus, you will have the resources of Advocates for Youth behind your local activism all year long!
Do any of the following campaigns sound exciting to you?
- Bring birth control pills over-the-counter, without an age restriction
- End shame and stigma around abortion
- Support survivors of sexual assault to lead the fight to end gender-based violence in their schools
- Provide safe and supportive environments for LGBTQ people of color
- Combat racism, anti-Muslim hate, homophobia and transphobia
- Increase HIV testing and condom availability
- Fight for comprehensive sex ed in your state and school district, and mobilize your peers around international family planning issues
Then learn more about our programs and apply today.
In solidarity,
Kinjo Kiema

P.S. - if you're not ages 14-24, can you forward this email to someone you think would be a good fit? Or to an organization who works with young people? We need everyone to do their part to help us build this incredible group!
Plus, we find that most of the people we accept were told to apply by a trusted adult, mentor or friend. So send this to someone you think is a rising star today.
