As a committed Center supporter, we wanted to be sure you saw the news that a U.S. District Court judge blocked Georgia's unconstitutional law which bans abortion in the earliest weeks of pregnancy.
The court granted our request to block the law from taking effect while we continue our case to defeat it entirely. The Georgia law would have banned abortion as early as six weeks into pregnancy—before many women know they're pregnant.
The court recognized that this law is blatantly unconstitutional and a clear attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Your support made this possible, and we can't thank you enough.
The District Court's decision to block the law will help protect critical health care for more than 2.1 million people of reproductive age in the Georgia—a state with the worst maternal mortality rate in the country.
