Hi Friend, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel here. I'd like to start off by saying "Ramadan Kareem!" to all who observe. My family and I wish you a blessed month, brimming with family and joy.

I'm also here to highlight some of the game-changing work we've done together this year. 2021 is still young, but we've already achieved so much.

I want to walk you through some of our biggest moments and explain why I need your help to keep serving the people of Michigan. (Spoiler: My seat is up for election in 2022, and Republicans are already scheming to reclaim it - and undo all our hard-won progress).

Here's what our team has accomplished in just the last four months, with your support:
* Pressed charges against the extremists who threatened Senator Stabenow and Congresswoman Slotkin, as well as the would-be terrorist who threatened to bomb our Capitol in Lansing.
* Held opioid manufacturers accountable for their role in the heroin epidemic, bringing $19 MILLION dollars to Michigan, with more on the way.
* Prevented a raise in gas prices during a pandemic.
* Pushed for stricter punishments against human traffickers while strengthening protections for survivors.
* Reached the largest class action settlement in Michigan's history to help the victims of the Flint Water Crisis.
* And last but not least, rooted out and charged corrupt and extremist members of Michigan's public service who used their positions for undue gain.

But our progress hasn't gone unnoticed by Republicans. They've been watching closely, and they're furious that our political system is changing, giving power back to everyday people. As expected, they're lashing out - dangerously.

As we speak, the GOP is already gearing up a massive donor network to unseat Democratic AGs like me, who have been vigilantly striking down their efforts to destroy American democracy.

Now, we need to fire up our own people-powered network to meet big fundraising goals every month. Otherwise, the GOP will overpower us with vicious mud-slinging, scare tactics, and flat-out lies - and then tear apart all of the work that Dem AGs like me have done.
