Dear John, |
This Thursday is Yom HaAtzma’ut, Israeli Independence Day. Despite the challenges of the past year, there is much to celebrate!
Join American Jewish Committee (AJC) as we congratulate President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin and the people of Israel on the Jewish state’s remarkable accomplishments over the past year and extend our warmest wishes for the year to come! Add your name to our birthday card!
In its 73rd year, Israel achieved what many had thought impossible.
Its breathtaking vaccination campaign set an example for the world and put Israel on track to become one of the first countries to emerge from the pandemic.
Its signing of the Abraham Accords with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and historic normalization agreements with Morocco and Sudan heralded a new era of acceptance and set the stage for additional countries to enter the circle of peace.
Its dedication to Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, saw Israeli humanitarian aid dispatched to Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, and elsewhere, saving and improving lives across the globe.
