[link removed] [[link removed]]Dear ,
After a year of organizing, months of marching and a 23-day hunger strike, New York made history this past week by establishing the country’s first excluded worker fund, meaning that excluded but essential New Yorkers — many of whom have kept our city running throughout this pandemic — will finally receive much-needed aid.
Team Dianne is humbled and proud to have been able to stand with the #FundExcludedWorkers coalition on the road to this historic victory – but we still have work to do to make sure all essential workers have their needs met.
It’s why we’re hosting a town hall to hear from frontline workers about their most pressing needs. Please join us tonight, April 12, from 6:30pm–8pm to hold space for essential workers from the frontline medical community and excluded workers in the taxi service and sex trades about what life was like before COVID-19 and why we cannot return to “normalcy.”
