Illinois Early Childhood Advocacy Week, Day 1: Investing in the Early Years is Essential
#EarlyEdIsEssential
Welcome to Day 1 of Illinois Early Childhood Advocacy Week 2021! Today’s focus is: Investing in the early years is essential.
Investing in early care and learning is essential to closing the opportunity gap and providing Illinois’s youngest learners with high-quality opportunities for healthy development. We put the learning and development of Illinois children at risk when we don’t adequately fund early care and learning programs to meet the ongoing need and cost of high-quality services.
Join us and your fellow parents, caregivers, early childhood providers and other advocates in asking your legislators to increase investment in critical services and supports, including the Early Childhood Block Grant, Child Care Assistance Program and Early Intervention and home visiting services.
