Build the #ClimateVoter movement by telling your story.

John,

Since the 2018 elections young people have taken to the streets to demand action for climate change. Just 2 weeks ago, people around the world came together for the Global Climate Strike to put world leaders on notice that climate justice cannot and will nor take a back seat to special interests.

Over the course of the year, the Trump administration has launched a full-on assault on our environment. Instead of promoting an equitable and just transition to a clean energy future, our air, water, and public lands are being sold out to the fossil fuel industry. By rolling back clean car standards and clean water protections, the president has made it blatantly obvious that protecting and preserving the environment for future generations is not a priority.

Whether it’s a 100% clean energy future or a Green New Deal, we need leaders who are going to prioritize our health and wellbeing by taking bold climate action.

We know that hearing and sharing stories about the impact of climate change on everyday people is extremely important to this movement. That’s why this fall we are relaunching BeAClimateVoter.org—and we need your help. Have you been directly impacted by climate change or are you working toward a clean energy future in a green job? We want to hear why taking action on climate is important to you. Share your story by taking the pledge and we may feature you in our official launch video!

SHARE YOUR STORY

Here are some tips to help you get started: First, start by introducing yourself—give your name, age, and location. Then answer one or more of the following questions:

  • Are you worried about how climate change is having an impact on you and your community?
  • How do you feel when elected officials refuse to address the threats of climate change?
  • What are the local solutions to climate change that you’re excited about?
  • What actions are you taking to address climate change in your community?
  • Why is it important to have leaders who take climate change seriously?
  • Are you working in a renewable energy job?
